    INDONESIA: On 4 April at 0110 local time, three robbers armed with knives boarded a bulk carrier berthed at Kuala Tanjung Port, near position 03-22N 099-28E. After the robbers entered the engine room, they took hostage and tied up the duty crew. The robbers stole engine spare parts and made their escape. Prior to leaving the vessel, the robbers released the duty crew.

    INDONESIA: On 29 August at 1600 local time, three robbers boarded the anchored U.S.-flagged bulk carrier SLNC SEVERN at the Belawan Port area along the Malacca Strait, near position 03-47N 098-42E. The duty crew observed them on the forecastle. The bridge raised the alarm and the crew mustered. Upon hearing the alarm, the robbers escaped with stolen ship’s stores. The ship reported the incident to local authorities through the local agent.
