Browser extension (Voydar Lens)

Voydar Lens is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. It underlines IMO numbers (check digit verified) and MMSIs on any page you choose, including web mail and news articles, and shows a card with the ship’s name, type, flag, last position, owner and sanctions when you hover or click. Ship names can be matched too (off by default); a name match is always labelled a possible match.

Page text never leaves your browser: only the one identifier you hover or click is sent to seadar.io. Lens runs on a page only when you click it, or on sites you turn on one by one. No browsing history is kept.

Lens is not in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons yet. Until it is, install it by hand:

Chrome and Edge

Download and unzip the Chrome/Edge build. Open chrome://extensions (edge://extensions in Edge), turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder. Pin Voydar Lens to the toolbar.

Firefox

Download the Firefox build. Open about:debugging, choose This Firefox, then Load Temporary Add-on and pick the .zip file. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it restarts, until Lens is signed by Mozilla.

Signing in from the extension (optional) connects it to your account like any other connected app: you approve it on seadar.io, it can follow and unfollow ships for you and show Open in Terminal on plans that include the Terminal, and you can disconnect it under Account, API keys, Connected apps.
